The U.S. Department of Commerce and the Trade and Investment Team at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad will host a webinar on a government tender for expanding and operating Baghdad International Airport (BIAP). The project, a public/private partnership (PPP), aims to upgrade passenger and cargo facilities and manage the airport for the next 20 years.
The webinar will include remarks from U.S. Ambassador Alina Romanowski, an overview of the tender by the General Company for Airports and Air Navigation Administration (GCAAN) director general, and presentations by U.S. EXIM Bank and the U.S. Advocacy Center, followed by a Q&A session.
