Houston, Texas – Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) First Vice President and Vice Chair Judith Pryor traveled to Houston, Texas last week to tour Packwell, Inc.’s packaging and warehouse facility to see how EXIM support under EXIM’s Make More in America Initiative (MMIA) will expand their operations and boost competitiveness.

“It is wonderful to see firsthand how EXIM support for Packwell through our Make More in America Initiative translates directly to hundreds of good-paying jobs in Houston,” said Vice Chair Pryor. “I congratulate the EXIM and Packwell teams on their efforts to work together to secure a successful future for Packwell as it expands its manufacturing facility and exports. This is what Make More in America is all about.”

The EXIM Board of Directors approved a $51 million direct loan to support the construction of a packaging and warehousing facility that will support an estimated 320 area jobs. The facility will be used to increase the small business’ packing capacity and efficiency. EXIM awarded Packwell its Make More in America Deal of the Year for 2024 at its recent Annual conference in Washington, DC.

Established in 1986, Packwell is a plastics bagging and logistics company based in Houston, Texas. It is one of the largest resin bagging companies in North America, with more than 221,000 square meters of warehouse facilities.
