August 2022 Edition: Showcasing the International Success of Rural Businesses.
In celebration of Black Business Month, the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) is partnering with the Urban League of Greater Atlanta, Invest Atlanta, Atlanta Office of the Mayor, Georgia Ports Authority, Metro Atlanta Chamber, U.S. Commercial Service, and UPS Women Exporters Program to provide U.S. Black-owned businesses information about the resources available to help them expand their markets internationally.
Throughout the past year, Black-owned businesses have faced many hardships such as lost revenue, temporary closures, reduced budgets, and diminished wages. Given those obstacles, small businesses can look for opportunities to sell their goods and services abroad, since only about 1% of U.S. businesses are exporting although 95% of consumers live outside the United States.
